Living surfaces on the French Atlantic coast
In the autumn light on the French Atlantic coast
In autumn, the light changes on the French Atlantic coast. Contours become clearer, colors gain depth, and surfaces stand out more distinctly. Our works for À MA FAÇON were created in this atmosphere – in the area around Biarritz and Arcachon.
Wind, salt, and vastness shape perception. Yarns react to movement and light differently than in the studio. Structures become more visible, transitions clearer, surfaces come alive.
The ocean fosters an attitude that demands openness. The landscape is minimalist, the light direct. These conditions sharpen the eye for proportion, surface, and movement in the garment.
Biarritz

In Biarritz, urban lines meet a rugged coastline. Facades, streetscapes, and horizons create a framework in which individuality feels natural. This clarity accompanies our work: independent, precise, and in relation to the space.
Sophie carries the works with an attitude that reflects the landscape: clear, calm, independent. The photographs emerged from this encounter.
